Kolobrzeg is a popular resort. Clean water and long beaches attract thousands of tourists every year. Kolobrzeg is also an important commercial port.

Approaching

The harbour can be hard to approach at harsh weather at W, N or E winds. In such weather ugly waves build up at the river inlet. Otherwise, the approach offers few problems. Two piers guard each side of the inlet.

The marina is situated  some distance southwards on an island, just after a river bend to the east.

The town

Kolobrzeg is a very old town, dating back to early medieval time. Later on, it became a member of the Hansa league. Much of the old buildings were destroyed during world war II. However, many old buildings have been built up again in the old style, recreating old feeling.
