Haapsasaari  by chopin1953 on PanoramioFar out in the outer skerries, outside Hamina, you find Haapasaari isl. (swe. Aspö) The island has an protected haven. There are also a border guard post that can be called on depart to or arrival from Russia.

An alternative place for clearance is situated close to the mainland at isl. Santio.

Approaching

A fairway passes close to the island. To the south of the island there is a navigable sound, and here is also the inlet to the haven located. It has a depth of 2,2m. The border guard is situated at the SE part of the island. There are guest jetties at the chruch inside the creek.
