At the western shore of Bay of Gdansk you find the sea own Gdansk. The history of the port is connected with the creation of the "Polish corridor" after world war one. Poland got a narrow strip of land connecting it with the Baltic Sea, but no port. Poland needed a port and a it was constructed at Gdynia.
The city is today a modern port town with a huge commercial port.
Approaching
You can approach Gdynia and the yachts club in any weather, day and night. The yacht club is located in the southern part of the port. It is one the the biggest yacht clubs in Poland. The city
Gdynia is a young city. Nearby you find the old resort Sopot. You can reach Gdansk with a local train. Close to the yacht club there is a Maritime museum with an aquaria.
