Frombork is a town with a history dating back to early medieval age. The city was destroyed in WWII but were rebuilt by scouts before the 500 years celebrations of the birth of Copernicus in 1973. Frombork (ger Frauneburg) is the birthplace of the astronomer Copernicus.

There is a famous cathedral and a medieval castle in the town.
The harbour
Frombork is one of two ports of entry in Vistula lagoon, and can be called if you are sailing to or from Russia. The other port of entry, Elblag, is situated far away from the border.
