We are waiting for a response from the mayor's office, still expecting that a solution could be found, which will not close Haapsalu for visiting yachts, and at the same time address the other problems that exist in the harbour.
However the hope is decreasing. This is a message from an estonian organisation for enterprise development:
QUOTE:
What I have learned to know is that there is a contradiction between the new harbour and with the location of the border point (it's a matter of couple of meters). The old harbour does not fulfill the guidelines and rules and thus can not be opened. The mayor of Haapsalu has promised to release the official information and statement this week, but apparently there is 95% chance that the Haapsalu harbour will be closed for yachts this summer.
