The harbour is diveded into two places. The fishing village Darlowko is situated at the sea. The medieval town Darlowo is situated a short distance up the river.
Approching
The port can be hard to approch at W, N or E strong winds. Big waves are built up at the river inlet.
Otherwise approaching is without problems. Two piers surrounds the river inlet.
Yacht harbours
Inside the Darlowko bridge, there are several berthing possibilities. It is also possible to sail the river down to Darlowo. You berth at the quays on the E side.
Erik the Pomeranian
 In Darlowo, the Pomeranian dukes ruled.The castle is situated at the riverside. The Swedish and Nordic medieval union king Erik the Pomeranian is buried here. He ended his days in Darlowo after has been deposed as Swedish King in the "Engelbrekt rebellion".S
