River YC
Warning for high harbour fee in S:t Petersburg
In 2008 Russian authorities forced foreign yachts to stay at the border post at Morskoy Voksal. No one could proceed to a marina.
The new order for 2009 is that the River Yacht Club is the only marina permitted as harbour for foreign yachts. This monopoly has encouraged the River Yacht Club marina to change the harbour fee.
The fee is now € 40/day and yacht. It is probably the highest harbour fee anywhere around the Baltic Sea for a normal sized yacht.
The official explanation is that the harbour has made investments to make the harbour service meet modern standard.
